We're excited that you've selected ACS Spring 2021 to present your research! All meeting events will be held in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
Here’s where you can find information and resources to make your virtual meeting presentation a success. Information on this page will continue to be updated as we approach the meeting.
All presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fees to present and attend ACS Spring 2021. Invited speakers should contact their symposium organizer or division program chair to clarify the terms of their invitation.
Failure to register for ACS Spring 2021 will result in the withdrawal of your abstract from the official meeting platform and program, official meeting program archive (SciMeetings), and CAS database.
The Presenter Guide (PDF) and video are intended to support and prepare you for your presentation. Whether you are a seasoned presenter or new to participating, these resources will inform you about the details of the event, provide specs and requirements for presentations and videos, and help deliver the best possible experience for you and our audience.
Live Speaker Presentation Information
Please review the Presenter Responsibilities (PDF) for critical information for all live session presenters.
Pre-event speaker training sessions were held pre-meeting. If you were unable to attend, a recording of the training is available.
In order to register and attend the meeting, you will need a free ACS ID. If you don’t already have one, you can easily create an ACS ID.
The ACS ID is a single set of log-in credentials (i.e. username and password) used to access multiple ACS online products, including abstract submissions, ACS Network, and meetings registrations.

The meeting schedule for live oral technical sessions and networking events will be in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
Poster Presentation Information
Posters will appear and be searchable to registrants on the Digitell platform beginning April 5.
You SHOULD have your Poster uploaded by April 4. This is your deadline. Posters MUST be uploaded by April 30 in order to remain in the technical program and meeting archive.
Optional: Poster presenters are able to upload a recording to accompany posters. "How to record your presentation" video is available on the platform as well as on the Digitell training page.
Presentation Template & Image Resources
ACS has created a PowerPoint template for optional use by presenters.
The Image Resources page has customizable graphics, as well as social media images, and a variety of Zoom backgrounds presenters may use during the meeting.
These are all optional resources and provided for your convenience.
Withdraw an Abstract
To withdraw your abstract from the ACS Spring 2021 program, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org AND contact your symposium organizer immediately.
SCIMEETINGS UPLOAD AND PUBLISHING OPTIONS
SciMeetings is a virtual platform developed by ACS Publications in collaboration with other ACS divisions that helps presenters increase the global visibility of the research they present at conferences. Launched as a solution for sharing the science intended for the terminated ACS Spring 2020 event, SciMeetings became the official archive and repository for ACS Fall 2020 and ACS Spring 2021 meeting abstracts and presentations.
This option allows presenters to upload abstracts, presentations, and materials to the virtual meeting platform for the live events held from April 5-16, 2021. For a small fee ($45 member; $90 non-member), in addition to your abstract, full poster(s) or presentation(s) will be automatically added to SciMeetings as part of the permanent meeting record. Selecting this option enables presenters to:
- Receive a citable DOI after accepting terms and conditions on SciMeetings
- Receive an open-access license
- Make use of the new Q&A feature to enable networking
- Gain access to personal analytics
- Increase the visibility of their work on the ACS Publications platform, SciFinder™ and Google Scholar
This option allows presenters to upload abstracts, presentations, and materials to the virtual meeting platform for the live events held from April 5-16, 2021. After ACS Spring 2021 concludes, abstracts only will be automatically added to SciMeetings as part of the permanent meeting record.
