ACS' 246th National Meeting & Exposition features almost 7,200 presentations on new discoveries in science. The topics include food and nutrition, medicine, health, energy, the environment and other fields where chemistry plays a central role. Some connect with the meeting’s theme, “Chemistry in Motion,” which showcases transportation technologies. Topics range from biofuels and alternative energy to lightweight materials and new ways of reducing the effects of friction, which impacts fuel economy.

Print, broadcast, and online journalists will be exposed to a rich assortment of spot news and feature possibilities.
A Press Center in the Indiana Convention Center will host daily press conferences and a news media workroom fully-staffed to assist in arranging interviews. The Press Center will have wireless Internet access, telephones, computers, photocopy and fax services and refreshments.
