Career Fair

Three days full of networking, skill-building, and professional development! The ACS Career Fair is open to all National Meeting attendees. 

Registration is ONLY required for ACS Members that are interested in searching the ACS Careers Jobs Database and having exclusive access to on-site interviews with Career Fair recruiters.

Job Seekers

Benefits:

  • Get career advice, and more!
  • Attend workshops
  • Apply and interview for jobs (MEMBERS ONLY)

Registration:

  1. ACS members create or log into your Job Seeker account and update your profile.

  2. If you do not want to register in the database, you may enter the exposition hall where the career fair is located and visit recruiters and drop-off your résumé. Please bring hard copies of your résumé.

* When you create an account, you will be asked to upload a résumé and complete an online profile (membership number required)

Confirmation Email

You will receive a confirmation by email after you register with detailed Career Fair information.  

Cancellations

Log onto your Career Fair account and click the (no longer attending) link to cancel your participation. This prevents recruiters assumption of a "no show".

Prepare Your Résumé

Bring at least 20 hard copies of your resume and business cards, plus a portable device or flash drive with your resume, references, and any supporting materials.

Prepare key responses to typical interview questions. Be prepared to participate in a mock interview and receive one-on-one feedback from an ACS Career Consultant.

Note: You must register for the Career Fair through the Jobs Database. New employers and jobs are constantly added, so check periodically.

Review the schedule of activities and workshops, and identify when ACS Career Consultants are available (limited availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.)

We have all heard that you only have one chance to make a great first impression. The Career Fair offers many opportunities to meet employers and network with peers and colleagues. You’ll want to be ready to make that great first impression — so they will want to learn more about your experience and capabilities.

Be on the alert for opportunities throughout the entire ACS National Meeting. Take the time to work the complete Exposition Hall, introducing yourself to representatives of organizations where you may want to work. Network, get contact information, and follow-up during or immediately after the National Meeting.
