Squalamine is a broad-spectrum antibiotic found in the dogfish shark (Squalus acanthias). It was first reported by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1993. The website http://www.squalamine.com makes somewhat extravagant claims about the benefits of taking a squalamine-containing supplement.
