Jennifer Kohler is an assistant professor in the Division of Translational Research, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. From 2005 until 2007, Jennifer was an assistant professor in the chemistry department at Stanford University. Jennifer is the recipient of the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation New Faculty Award (2005), the Basil O’Connor Starter Scholar Research Award from the March of Dimes (2007), and an NSF CAREER Award (2007). From 1994 to 2000, she was a graduate student in the chemistry department at Yale University where she worked in Professor Alanna Schepartz’s lab studying the kinetics and mechanism of protein-DNA interactions. After obtaining her Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale, Jennifer was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Professor Carolyn Bertozzi at the University of California, Berkeley.
