Charles Casey

Charles P. Casey is the Homer B. Adkins Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also served as the chair of the Chemistry Department at the university from 1998 – 2001. Dr. Casey is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He served as President of the American Chemical Society in 2004. Dr. Casey has received the Alumni Merit Award from St. Louis University, an Alexander von Humboldt Senior Award, a Fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award of the American Chemical Society, and the American Chemical Society Award in Organometallic Chemistry. Dr. Casey has also been a National Science Council Distinguished Lecturer in Taiwan [Province of China]. He is the author of more than 250 papers in organometallic chemistry.
