Since 2004, Julia Hamm has served as the executive director of the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), a national, nonprofit organization that facilitates solutions for utility use and integration of solar power. SEPA has over 375 utility, electric service provider, manufacturer, installer, government, and research members. Ms. Hamm is on the board of directors of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council and chairs the annual Solar Power Conference and Expo, the largest solar event in the U.S. Her career has focused on developing tools to communicate the value of renewable energy and energy efficiency to electric utilities, municipal governments, and product manufacturers. She is a frequent speaker at regional, national and international conferences and has authored numerous articles on solar trends as well as utility solar programs. Prior to her tenure at SEPA, she worked as a senior associate at ICF International, a leading energy and environmental consulting firm, where she supported the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with implementation of its ENERGY STAR program. In 2007 she was named one of the Top 10 Women in CleanTech by earth2tech.
