WASHINGTON, February 9, 2011 — Immigration for international scientists is the topic of the next in a series of American Chemical Society (ACS) Webinars™ for scientists and chemical professionals.
Scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 17, from 2 – 3 p.m. EST, the free webinar features Martin J. Lawler, of Lawler & Lawler, who will discuss various U.S. immigration avenues available for scientific and technical professionals.

Lawler is a California immigration lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience. He is the author of Professionals: a Matter of Degree on business visas and permanent residence. Lawler received the American Immigration Lawyers Association Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for excellence in immigration litigation. He was a guest on National Public Radio’s Science Friday program about visas for scientists.
ACS Webinars™ feature experts and global thought leaders in the chemical sciences, management and business to address current topics of interest to scientific and engineering professionals.
