WASHINGTON, March 1, 2011 — Cost-effective resources to build and sustain science and engineering consulting businesses is the topic of the next in a series of American Chemical Society (ACS) Webinars™ for scientists and chemical professionals.

Scheduled for Thursday, March 3, from 2 – 3 p.m., EST, the free webinar features John Newport, partner of Chemventive, LLC, and ChemlnnoLab, LLC.

Participants will learn:

  • How to build a network that can create job opportunities
  • What is important in marketing consulting services
  • Smart practices that keep the business going

Newport provides consulting and R&D services through Chemventive, LLC, and ChemlnnoLab, LLC. Previously, he worked in the fibers, film, RIM, resins and paper businesses as a senior research fellow at Hercules, Inc. His areas of expertise cover polymer chemistry, surface chemistry, rheology and transport phenomena.
