Christa Müller appointed editor in chief of ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science

WASHINGTON, April 2, 2021 — The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is pleased to welcome Christa Müller, Ph.D., of Bonn University as the new editor in chief of ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science.

“Pharmacology and translational science are highly interdisciplinary and solve complex problems for the benefit of society. My vision for the journal’s future is to publish innovative and impactful research articles from a variety of authors with wide-ranging scientific backgrounds,” says Müller. “I am honored to be joining ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science and eager to begin working with the journal’s editorial team and authors. I am confident that together we can shape a bright future for the journal.”

At Bonn University, Müller is a full professor of pharmaceutical chemistry in the Pharmaceutical Institute and director of the PharmaCenter Bonn, which she co-founded. Her research interests include medicinal chemistry and pharmacology of purine-binding membrane proteins, among other topics. Müller has published extensively in the fields of medicinal chemistry and pharmacology and serves as a member of numerous scientific boards and institutions.

“I am delighted that Professor Müller will be joining ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science as editor in chief,” says James Milne, Ph.D., president, ACS Publications Division. “She is the best scientist to lead the journal as it grows, and I am confident that she will serve the journal’s community of authors well.”

ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science publishes high quality, innovative and impactful research articles across the broad spectrum of biological sciences, covering basic and molecular sciences through translational preclinical studies.
