Student Outreach Success Stories

Kids & Chemistry Success Stories

ACS sections and members have been taking advantage of the ACS Kids & Chemistry program since it was piloted in 1993 to bring scientists and children together to do hands-on science activities.

In conjunction with the 2007 Chicago National Meeting, more than 100 children from the Chicagoland area joined past ACS President Katie Hunt and a cast of members and student affiliates in a Kids & Chemistry event at the Notebaert Nature Museum featuring hands-on green chemistry experiments.
