Friday, Aug. 20 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. The Essence of Networking: Making Authentic Professional Connections Join this interactive session to learn about and practice making new connections towards developing professionally and authentically building new relationships.

ACS Career Pathways™ Workshops

Aug. 22 – Sept. 1. Six in-person and 10 virtual workshops expertly designed to provide career guidance for up-and-coming and professional chemical scientists.

ACS Kids Zone  Chemists Catalyze Change

Presidential Outreach Event, ACS Fall 2021 | Sat., Aug. 21, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. EDT
Georgia Aquarium, Oceans Ballroom Entrance, Atlanta, GA

Chemists are catalysts for positive scientific and social change in communities everywhere. Join ACS and partners for a free Kids Zone hands-on science event in celebration of the theme, Chemists Catalyze Change. Attendees will:  

  • Take part in engaging hands-on science activities
  • Interview scientists at Meet a Chemist tables
  • Learn how to advocate for chemistry
  • Watch a short interactive play at the chemistry theater, called “Choose that Catalyst”

All student events are sponsored or cosponsored by the Society Committee on Education Undergraduate Programs Advisory Board. Individual event sponsors include the ACS Committee on Minority Affairs and ACS Division of Chemical Education. Cosponsors include the ACS Divisions of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry Education, Computational Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Geochemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry.
