ADA Compliance & Accessbility Information
ACS is dedicated to ensuring an inclusive and accessible event for all attendees. This means ensuring that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently because of the absence of auxiliary aids and services as identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Venue Accessibility
The McCormick Place Convention Center is ADA compliant. It has wheelchair ramps, automatic doors, passenger elevators, and accessible restrooms for those who need them. Brailed instructions/directions are strategically located throughout the convention center and pay phones with (TDD) hearing-impaired functions are on each level of the building. Accessible parking is available in Lot A (located on Martin Luther King Drive), Lot C (located underground in Lakeside Center) and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place parking garage. Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is ADA compliant and the closest hotel to the McCormick Place Convention Center. Please visit Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago accessibility for more information.
Marriott Marquis Chicago (Governance Hotel) is ADA compliant. There is accessible on-site parking, van accessible on-site parking, and valet parking for vehicles outfitted for drivers in wheelchairs. More information can be found at the Marriott Marquis Chicago website.
Dietary Accommodations
Please include any dietary accommodations you might require during registration. ACS will make efforts to accommodate dietary allergies and requirements, however, we kindly ask that you discuss and confirm your specific dietary needs directly with the catering staff.
Mobility Accommodation
ACS will provide scooters for attendees upon request for use at the Convention Center.
If you missed inputting your request during your registration process, you can request one at the Information Booth in McCormick Place. The Information Booths are located in the Central Concourse, Level 3, McCormick Place (West Building) and Grand Ballroom Lobby, Level 1, McCormick Place (South Building).
Closed captioning will be provided for digital oral technical sessions—live and on-demand—as well as for all Keynote sessions. If you require special assistance during the meeting please indicate this when registering. You may also reach out to service@acs.org with questions or assistance needs.
Additional Accommodations
As part of your registration, please submit the types of accommodations that you will require at the event location and/or hotel(s). Please include specific requirements in the Request Details field (for example, sign language interpretation). ACS will provide reasonable accommodations per the request. The deadline to submit a request is August 7th, 2026. After that deadline, please email springfallmeetings@acs.org to directly communicate your requests. ACS will make a reasonable effort to honor them, but cannot guarantee fulfillment.

Audio Taping, Photography & Videotaping
No Image Capturing or Recording Please.
The capturing of images, sounds, or stream, downloading, or rebroadcasting of technical session (oral or poster) speakers or presentations is strictly prohibited within the ACS meeting platform.
Registration Cancellation/Refund
You may cancel your existing registration and social events or request a refund before the meeting in accordance with the ACS Registration Cancellation Policy. All refunds are issued via the same method used for payment. Refunds are processed within 30 days after the conclusion of the meeting. By adhering to the following cancellation procedures, registration cancellations received in writing by July 23, 2026, are entitled to a full refund, less $175 administrative fee. Registration fees equaling less than $175 will not be refunded.
- Contact the ACS registration customer service center Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (Eastern) at 508-743-0192 or email acs@maritz.com to request ticket refunds, registration upgrades or category changes (i.e., changing your registration category from In-Person to Digital or upgrade from Digital to In-Person).
- Cancellation notices must be submitted to the ACS Registration Customer Service Center via mail or e-mail by 11:59 PM (ET) on July 23, 2026.
- All refunds will be issued via the same method used for payment. Refunds will be processed within 30 days following the conclusion of the meeting.
- Registration refund requests made after 11:59 PM (ET) on July 23, 2026, will not be honored.
- Registration Upgrades or Category changes: If you would like to change your registration category from In-Person to the Digital Meeting or upgrade from the Digital Meeting to In-Person, please contact our Call Center Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (ET) at 508-743-0192 or email acs@maritz.com. Requests to change to the Digital Meeting Registration must be made by 11:59 PM (ET) on July 23, 2026. You may upgrade from Digital Meeting to In-Person registration at any time, including after July 23, 2026.
- Canceling your registration will not automatically cancel your hotel reservation; however, ACS reserves the right to cancel the room(s). To cancel your hotel room(s), please contact acshousing@spargoinc.com. ACS will not reimburse cancellation or no-show fees charged by the hotel.
- If you are a presenter, cancelling your registration will not automatically cancel your presentation. To request that your abstract be withdrawn from the meeting, please email your request to maps@acs.org Please include your control ID and abstract title.

Registration Upgrades or Category Changes
If you would like to change your registration category from in-person to virtual or upgrade from virtual to in-person, please contact the ACS Registration Call Center on Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (Eastern) at 508-743-0192 or email acs@maritz.com. Requests must be made by July 23, 2026.
Electronic Devices
As a courtesy to other meeting attendees, electronic devices must be operated in silent/vibrate mode within technical or educational sessions. Cell phone conversations are not permitted in meeting rooms.
Literature & Product Distribution
Promotions, posters, and literature distribution by attendees, sponsors, or divisions during the meeting must be done within their own meeting room space, except for designated marketing opportunities. Only ACS Operations Office staff are authorized to place any promotional items in public meeting space. Items left in violation of this policy will be removed and discarded.
Literature distribution at specific division tables is under the control of that division. You must secure permission from the division before placing any items on its table.
Smoking
ACS policy prohibits smoking in all official meeting venue rooms during ACS functions. Additionally, as a reminder, the Convention Center and hotels are always self-determined smoke-free environments.
Meeting Access
Full Access
Full Access (in-person and Digital Meeting Access) includes hundreds of industry, student, and academic focused sessions, Networking opportunities at the various ACS-hosted in-person events, like the ACS Connect Reception. Hear first-hand experiences from leaders in the chemistry community during the highly anticipated ACS Board Open Session and ChemLuminary Awards, and the Kavli Lecture series. Full access grants access to all technical sessions, presidential events, poster presentations, full access to the mobile app and the Digital Meeting including virtual Q&A sessions. Connect with over 180+ exhibitors in the Expo and see the latest products in the field of chemistry. The ACS Career Fair allows you to meet with potential employers, receive personalized career advice, take a free professional headshot, and take advantage of the on-the-spot employer networking opportunities located in the Expo Hall.
- Includes option to register and purchase additional ACS Connect Reception tickets (max of 2), Leadership Development Courses, Career Pathways Workshops, ACS Institute Technical Courses, and all Special Events**.
Note: Full Access registration is required for all in-person oral and poster-presenting authors.
Digital Meeting Access
Digital Meeting Access includes a selection of curated live/real time online sessions including full access to the Digital Meeting global content, the Global Virtual Symposia, Virtual Graduate Student Symposia Asia Pacific, division technical sessions, virtual technical sessions, professional development sessions, live streams of the ACS Board Open Session and ChemLuminary Awards, Kavli lecture series, interactive chats with virtual Q&A sessions, and more. The Digital Meeting and does not include live streaming of other sessions from the in-person program. In-person Courses, Workshops, and Special Events are not available in the Digital Meeting Access package.
Note: Digital Meeting registration is required for all virtual oral presenting authors.
Limited Access (In-Person) Registration Categories
- Governance Only Access includes access to Governance Events only – No access to Sessions, Poster Hall, or Expo.
- Ticketed Events Only includes access to Leadership Development Courses, Career Pathways Workshops, ACS Institute Technical Courses, and all Special Events, purchased individually a la carte. – No access to the ACS Connect Reception, Sessions, Poster Hall, or Expo. Registrants with a ticketed events only badge will not have access to the mobile app or access to the Digital Meeting.
- Exhibitor Access includes Exhibitor Full Conference or Exhibitor Booth Staff Only badges. Exhibitor access is for exhibitor staff requiring access to the Expo Hall for setup outside of general admission hours. Exhibitor Booth Staff Only badges permit access to the Expo Hall only – no sessions. Exhibitor Full Conference badges have access to the full conference and the sessions.
- Guest Access – Guests can attend Sessions, Poster hall, Expo and ACS Connect Reception when accompanied by full access attendee. Guests will not have access to the mobile app or access to the Digital Meeting.
- Expo Only Access includes entrance into the Expo during expo hours only.– No access to the ACS Connect Reception, sessions, or poster hall. Registrants with an Expo only badge will not have access to the mobile app or access to the Digital Meeting.
