How do presiders get speaker bios?
Speaker bios can be obtained directly from the speaker.
What do I do if a speaker does not show up or has withdrawn?
The open time must be held as a break, Q&A or networking time. You may not move the remaining speakers up in time or have a new speaker give an unpublished and unscheduled presentation.
How do I find out what to do as a virtual presider (aka moderator, session chair) for my session?
Please access our Presider Training course that will include this information.
Will there be technical support provided in the virtual meeting room?
Yes, there will be a dedicated technical producer for each virtual meeting room.
I am a presider for an in-person oral technical room. Do I have to preside over these rooms in person?
Presiders need to be physically present for an in-person oral session. Please review the Presider Training course for more information.
I still haven't received my Certificate of Presentation, who should I contact?
All presenters will be issued digital certificates via email from ACS Meeting Programming Support (maps@acs.org) within 6-8 weeks from the conclusion of ACS Spring 2026. If it has been over 8 weeks since the conclusion of the meeting, please contact maps@acs.org to inquire about your digital certificate.
