Mayo Clinic Florida Radiology Department Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Radiochemistry Facility is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow or visiting scholar in the exciting field of radiopharmaceutical discovery and development for PET imaging or radiotheranostics. The postdoctoral fellow will perform radiopharmaceutical research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Mayo Clinic. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to develop and lead exciting, multi-disciplinary projects of radiopharmaceutical discovery and clinical translation under the supervision of PI, Hancheng Cai, Ph.D. Research training experiences will include radiopharmaceutical design, synthesis, and development for PET radiotracer or radiotheranostic agents, preclinical evaluation of radiopharmaceutical in cells or mouse models, as well as clinical production of these innovative radiopharmaceuticals for first-in-human clinical studies. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
