Opportunity Description:

Augustana University seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track position in Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2023. Augustana is an excellent place to work with outstanding students and a long history of quality research with undergraduates. Primary Responsibilities: (1) Instruction of biochemistry and medicinal chemistry courses (lecture and laboratory) for majors, (2) instruction of nonmajor and non-major organic chemistry courses (lecture and lab), (3) instruction of a survey of organic and biochemistry for non-majors (lecture and lab), (4) developing a research program with undergraduates, and (5) service to the University community. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated dedication to undergraduate education, a commitment to innovative and excellent teaching, the capability to adhere to the timelines of a rigorous curriculum, and the ability to meet the flexible instructional needs of the Department. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Candidates with post-doctoral training and a strong record of undergraduate instruction in biochemistry and organic chemistry are preferred.
