Opportunity Description:

This is a 10-week NSF-funded REU program at The Ohio State University, Dept. of Chemistry & Biochemistry. It is open to undergraduate students (including those at two-year colleges) who have completed some chemistry coursework. It is designed to be an immersive research experience in the lab of a participating faculty member at Ohio State. The theme of the program focuses on spectroscopy and physical chemistry (experiment and/or theory), although completion of physical chemistry coursework is not required for participation. Participants will be paid a weekly stipend and will be provided with on-campus housing at no cost. In addition to work in the lab, students will attend a weekly group meeting that will focus on professional development activities including scientific writing and communication and tips on apply for graduate school.
