Peter J. Dunn Award for Green Chemistry & Engineering Impact in the Pharmaceutical Industry

This award recognizes excellence in the research, development, and execution of green chemistry that demonstrates environmental, safety, and efficiency improvements.

CMO Excellence in Green Chemistry Award

This award recognizes outstanding efforts by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) in pharmaceutical green chemistry.

Data Science and Modeling for Green Chemistry Award

Get help building a "green" portfolio

ACS and the ACS GCI Industry Roundtables provide funding for faculty interested in developing a research and teaching portfolio that contributes directly to addressing the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Early Career Postdoctoral-Faculty Bridge Grant

Assists postdoctoral fellows who are starting a new academic research group focusing on green and sustainable chemistry funds to support the salary, benefits, and travel of a postdoctoral fellow for a two-year period.  

Principal Investigator Development in Sustainability Grant

Funding for early or mid-career investigators to spend 6-12 months performing cross-disciplinary sustainability research in a company laboratory, national lab, or different academic institution.

ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable Research Grant

Annual grant program to address synthetic chemistry and process research challenges whose solutions result in more efficient pharmaceutical process development and production.

Recognizing excellence in research

The ACS Green Chemistry Institute (GCI) gives financial support for student research, training, and travel to present their research at the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E).

ACS GCI Green & Sustainable Chemistry Summer School

All-expenses-paid, week-long program for graduate students and postdocs from the Americas.

Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award

Provides recognition and travel funds to outstanding undergrad and grad students who are working to further the goals of green chemistry and/or engineering.

Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship

Sponsors undergrads, grads, and postdocs studying outside the U.S. to attend the GC&E Conference and present their work.

Ciba Travel Awards in Green Chemistry

Enables undergrad and grad students in the U.S. to attend the GC&E Conference and present their work.

Nina McClelland Memorial Award

Sponsors postdoctoral scholars to attend the GC&E Conference and present their work.
