Government Discounts
Government employees may book rooms in the hotel block reserved at a special rate. Please note, government identification is required upon check-in at the hotel.
Housing Rebate Disclosure
The negotiated/contracted rates for ACS hotels may contain a rebate back to ACS in an effort to offset convention expenses.
Any guest room(s) reserved outside the contracted ACS hotel block may be subject to a rebate in an effort to offset convention expenses.
Accommodations for Guests with Disabilities
Guests requiring special hotel accommodations because of a disability should indicate special requirements when making their reservation and reconfirm arrangements directly with the hotel.

Housing Scam Alert
The American Chemical Society does not endorse third party companies who contact our delegates and exhibitors to book accommodations through their companies for ACS Spring 2023. These third party “pirate” companies reach out to delegates and exhibitors offering special discounted hotel rooms for other associations’ meetings. Often, these discounted rooms do not exist. The primary objective of this solicitation is to obtain credit card information. ConferenceDirect, the ACS Housing Services Provider, will not contact you by phone or email requesting credit card information for reservations. ACS has no affiliation with these companies and is unable to guarantee rates and accommodations made through these companies.
Please note that ConferenceDirect is the ONLY Housing Services Provider for ACS Spring 2023. ACS does not endorse booking hotel reservations through any other sources. Please do not be misled by companies that solicit you over the phone and misrepresent themselves as the ACS Housing Services Provider. If you are contacted by one of these third party companies, please contact ConferenceDirect immediately.
All correspondence received from ConferenceDirect regarding housing for ACS Spring 2023 will include the housing services provider official logo seal.

Booking Housing
Book before March 2, 2023, to guarantee the ACS discounted rate!
In order to receive the ACS discounted rate, reservations must be through the ACS Official Housing Bureau, ConferenceDirect.
Reservations are made by Conference Direct through the housing booking website which will open on December 12.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. After March 2, please contact the hotel directly to make a reservation. Hotel availability cannot be guaranteed and may be at a higher rate.

Housing Payment
A valid deposit for one night’s room and tax is required to confirm a reservation.
- Guarantee hotel reservations by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, or VISA).
- Don’t combine hotel fees with any other payment (e.g., registration, membership dues).
- Payment will be charged by your hotel, not ConferenceDirect.
- Note: ConferenceDirect will forward payment information to hotels starting on March 2.
Some hotels charge a deposit of one nights’ room and tax to your credit card prior to your arrival. Make all additional payment arrangements (check or money order) directly with your hotel after March 2, 2023. All rooms are subject to a daily room and occupancy tax of 17% (taxes and fees vary by hotel and subject to change)

Hotel Cancellations
- On or after February 9, the ACS Official Housing Bureau, ConferenceDirect, will charge a $30 cancellation fee for reservation cancellations. This charge will appear on your credit card statement as “CONFDIRECT*ACSpring2023”.
See your confirmation email for a link to make changes to or cancel your reservation. You can also call toll-free 844-293-7040 or International 704-837-4855. - Within 72 hours of arrival date: Hotels will assess an additional penalty of one night’s room + tax charge. Penalties for early departures vary by hotel. Refer to your reservation acknowledgement for your hotel's cancellation policy.
