Strategic financial planning is ACS Webinars™ topic for scientists and chemical professionals

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19, 2011 — Financial planning for scientific professionals is the topic of the next in a series of American Chemical Society (ACS) Webinars™ for scientists and chemical professionals.

Scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20, from 2 – 3 p.m. EST, the free Webinar features Theodore Sarenski, founding member of Blue Ocean Strategic Capital, who will provide advice on how to organize personal finances.

Participants will learn:

  • Insurance Coverage—What you need and what you don’t need
  • Asset Allocation—the power of diversification and portfolio must-haves.
  • Safe Withdraw Rates—What you need to accumulate to assure that your assets will last throughout your retirement
  • Income and Estate Taxes—What happened in 2010 and what to expect in 2011 and beyond

Sarenski oversees all aspects of Blue Ocean Strategic Capital’s operations, including the Investment Committee’s management of portfolio assets.  In addition to working directly with clients, Sarenski contributes his expertise to industry-related publications and speaking engagements across the country.

ACS Webinars™ feature experts and global thought leaders in the chemical sciences, management and business to address current topics of interest to scientific and engineering professionals.
