Students, faculty, public invited to ACS on Campus event, Nov. 15-16 at Louisiana State University

The American Chemical Society (ACS) invites students, faculty and interested members of the public to ACS on Campus at Louisiana State University, November 15-16. Topics include scholarly publishing, how to effectively use SciFinder® and alternative careers in science. Students and faculty from area universities are also invited to attend.

The events are free, but registration is required. All registered attendees will receive a free lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. NOTE: Registrants will be asked to create an ACS ID in order to register for the event. This is not an ACS membership. Attendees are not required to be ACS members in order to attend ACS on Campus.

ACS on Campus is the Society’s cross-divisional campus outreach program, bringing resources from ACS Publications, Chemical Abstracts Service, Membership and Scientific Advancement and Education to over 30 campuses domestically and internationally. Students participate in seminars on the basics of peer review, ethics in scholarly communications, career building and development, and effective use of ACS Web tools like SciFinder®, the ACS Network and the Web Editions Platform.
