The Reception is a chance to showcase innovations to, as well as network with, an industry audience. In 2012, 72 percent of surveyed attendees learned about new green technologies and materials and discussed market needs and research ideas applicable to their organization. Past attendees have said that the event “brought together a focused audience where the odds of productive networking were significantly higher.” Parties interested in presenting a poster can login at http://abstracts.acs.org, and submit their abstracts under the Specialty Meeting titled 3rd Annual ACS GCI Roundtable Poster Reception. The deadline for abstracts is April 15, 2013. Posters are complimentary for Roundtable members and $250 for non-members. Sponsorship options are available starting at $750 (contact j_manley@acs.org for details.)

The Reception is co-located with the 17th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference scheduled for June 18-20, 2013, at the same venue. The conference has numerous technical sessions, including some focused directly on improving the sustainable profile of formulated consumer products, pharmaceutical development and chemical manufacturing.

The ACS GCI Industrial Roundtables are partnerships between ACS GCI and industry united by a shared commitment to integrate the principles of green chemistry and engineering into the business. Current Roundtables address the integration of green and sustainable chemistry in formulated consumer products, chemical manufacturing and pharmaceutical development. Current members include but are not limited to Amway; Bristol-Myers Squibb; DSM Pharmaceutical Products; E.I du Pont de Nemours and Company; Florida Chemical Company, Inc.; Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products; Merck & Co., Inc.; Novozymes North America, Inc.; Pfizer Inc.; Purac; Rhodia Inc.; S.C.
