ACS announces election results for 2025 officers and directors

WASHINGTON, Oct. 24, 2024 — The American Chemical Society (ACS) is announcing the results of its recent election. Society members elected the following officers and members of the Board of Directors for 2025: 

President-Elect
Rigoberto Hernandez, professor of chemistry, Johns Hopkins University

Board of Directors
Katherine L. Lee (District I; reelected), executive director and head of scientific planning and operations in the Inflammation and Immunology Research Unit, Pfizer, Massachusetts

Silvia S. Jurisson (District V), professor of chemistry emerita, University of Missouri

David Wu (International District), director and research fellow of the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan

Natalie A. LaFranzo (director-at-large; reelected), vice president of strategy, Linus Group, Massachusetts

These newly elected officers will join or continue service on the ACS Board of Directors in 2025. The list of current board members, their photos, official biographies and other information about Society governance are available on the ACS website.
