Calling all sustainability stars!
One Free Year of ACS Premium Membership could be yours.
We’re looking for scientists that are making “chemistry” synonymous with “sustainability.”
- Are you taking simple steps to transform your lab into a more sustainable workplace?
- Are you collaborating with fellow students and postdocs to create a positive environmental impact via research, teaching, outreach, or service?
- Are you passionate about solving humanity’s grand challenges in water and food security, clean energy, and more through ambitious research projects?
Let's celebrate our global community!
We will select 30 chemists from diverse backgrounds, regions, organizations, career paths, and stages to showcase in social media posts across ACS platforms.
- Sustainability Stars will be announced on a rolling basis.
- The first Stars will be announced on Feb. 22.
- Subsequent Stars will be announced weekly on a rolling basis through Aug. 12.
- All submissions are self-nominated. Nominations close on July 14, 2024.
- Sustainability Stars will be featured on ACS’s X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn feeds.
How it works
Sustainability Stars will be featured on ACS social media platforms through August 2024. They'll also be entered in a drawing to receive:
- 1 free registration to the Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E)
Available to redeem either at the 2024 conference (Atlanta, GA) or 2025 conference (location TBD). - 1 complimentary ACS Membership at the Premium Package level for 1 year.
