"Accounts of Chemical Research is excited to announce the return of Journal Club, featuring engaging talks highlighting topics featured in Special Issues published by the journal.

The topic for our January is ""Advances in Biosensor Technologies for Infection Diagnostics.” Infectious diseases continue to challenge global health, as evidenced by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Effective combat against infectious diseases requires concerted, multidisciplinary efforts, ranging from understanding pathogenesis and host responses to advancing key biomarkers and their detection systems. The Special Issue highlighted exciting new breakthroughs made in diagnostic technologies that transcend conventional lab-oriented tests. In this Journal Club, senior authors in this Issue will critically review the capability of their approaches and share insights for future improvements."
