Emily B. Kunchala

Emily B. Kunchala is the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, she responsible for overseeing the management of the society’s investments and treasury operations with overall responsibility for the financial operations of ACS.

Emily has over 24 years of experience in accounting, finance, and auditing. Emily joins ACS from The Research Foundation for The State University of New York, the largest, most comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country, where she served as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration since 2016. Prior to her role as CFO, she led the Internal Audit function for the Foundation. Before joining the Foundation, Emily spent eleven years in public accounting at KPMG where she was part of the Government and Higher Education Practice and at PricewaterhouseCoopers she was part of the Not for Profit and High Technology Practice.

Emily is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts and previously held her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.  She is a member of the Association of Government Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
