Susan R. Morrissey, Ph.D.

Susan R. Morrissey, Ph.D., is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Chief of Staff. She executes the ACS strategic initiatives and projects and ensure that they complement and support the overall mission of the Society. She plays a vital role in formulating communications of the Society’s strategic direction for internal and external audiences. During her 22 years at ACS, she has held positions in External Affairs & Communications and in C&EN prior to her current position. She holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Texas A&M University.
