Andrea Alexander

Andrea Alexander is currently the Product Development & Technical Service Manager for ShinEtsu Silicones of America, Inc. She joined ShinEtsu in 2017, prior to her work at the former Dow Corning Corporation the first 10 years of her career. Andrea has developed a successful career as a product development and process chemist in specialty chemicals, specifically silicone elastomers She is particularly skillful in innovation via cross-functional collaboration with internal business units, customer interfacing, or R&D partnerships with external chemical manufacturers. 

As Andrea is passionate about the sciences, outreach programs via ACS and other local STEM programs have been an integral part of her life since a young age. Chemistry makes her Bunsen burn, so she is more than delighted when given the opportunity to help/inspire others.
