I earned a B.S from Northern Illinois University and an M.S. from Roosevelt University in Chemistry. I have worked in chemical industry for more than twenty years synthesizing polymers for use in the coatings, paper and water treatment areas and hold several U.S. and foreign patents. I currently own a STEM company developing workshops and educational programs for youth.
I am both an ACS Career Consultant and an ACS Career Workshop Presenter; specializing in industrial topics such as interviewing skills, resume preparation, networking skills, negotiation skills and job transition. I am an active Member of the Chicago Section ACS and hold the positions of Chair of the Primary Education Committee and Co-Chair of the Illinois Sections of the ACS State Fair Committee. I am very involved at the National level as a councilor and currently I am a member on the Ethics Committee.
I am also active in the American Association of University Women Wheaton Glen Ellyn Branch, where I am their STEM chair and trained in their "Start Smart: Salary Negotiation" program.
