Kara KasaKaitas

Kara KasaKaitas graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelor’s of Science. She began her laboratory career in clinical research and transitioned to an analytical chemist role, spending most of her time at the bench in the pharmaceutical industry.

After volunteering with the American Chemical Society on a local and national level for many years, Kara realized her true passion was networking and career development. Kara has over 20 years of experience working in scientific recruitment and employee development. She currently works as the Director, Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development for Aegis Sciences Corporation, a Nashville-based healthcare and toxicology laboratory, where she provides strategic oversight for the Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Organizational Development efforts.

Kara continues her volunteer work with ACS today, and was honored with the American Chemical Society Fellow distinction in 2018.
