Kristin Nuzzio

After graduating with her Ph.D. six years ago, Kristin joined PPG as a Research Chemist in the analytical department, where she characterized coatings for the aerospace and industrial businesses. She then transitioned into management roles supervising the wet chemistry, regulatory, raw material analysis, and chromatography teams. Kristin also served on a special project team to develop a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across R&D sites. Kristin is currently a Group Leader in the formulation science department, where she manages a team of researchers to develop decorative coatings for low temperature applications.

Kristin is passionate about science outreach and increasing diverse representation in STEM fields both within her company, ACS, and the community. Kristin is an active member of the national Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) and has served as Chair since 2020.
