Paul Lobben
Principal Scientist
Process R&D CMC at REVOLUTION Medicines
B.S., Chemistry, Emory University
Ph.D., Organic Chemistry, The Ohio State University
I am a trained synthetic organic chemist with 20 years of experience in research and development of small molecule drug candidates. I have worked in both large and small companies. I received my B.S degree in chemistry from Emory University. While at Emory, I performed both undergraduate research and completed an industrial internship at Johnson and Johnson. I continued my education, receiving a Ph.D at The Ohio State University. I followed-up my education with a two-year post-doctoral appointment at the University of Virginia.
My first industry position was with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) on the east coast. At BMS I worked on projects in all phases of development from pre-IND to Phase 3 and technology transfer to manufacturing. After nearly two decades with BMS, I moved west and joined the Organic Production team at ThermoFisher Scientific (TFS). After three years with TFS, I joined Revolution Medicines, Inc., where I am currently a Senior Scientist responsible for process chemistry and CMC development.
