What do you love about your job?
With a career based in chemistry, I've been able to work in several industries with innovations that improve, protect and save people's lives. It's fascinating being able to see chemistry in action from several different vantage points. Having worked in the factory as an engineer and a supervisor, as well as working in sales and marketing, I've had the privilege of seeing first-hand, products being made, as well as customers being satisfied with the finished result.

What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
I visited a supplier in China that historically caused us customer backorder issues. I led a process improvement workshop and trained the team on optimal ways to improve product scheduling and manpower optimization. After the training, I developed/implemented a Production Optimization tool that was used collaboratively between our supply chain and the supplier. Within two months of using my tool, we reduced our customer backlog by 98% to the tune of $1.8M.

What would you tell yourself at age 18?
Have desire, faith and gratitude in all that you pursue. Those three combined will enable you to achieve far greater success than you imagine.
