Working with undergraduates and nurturing love of and curiosity about science and chemistry!
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
Making discoveries in the lab and traveling for research, teaching, and conferences have been very exciting.
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
Learn what a sociopath is and stay away as far as you can.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
I never thought I would become a chemistry teacher! Thinking back, I've always been fortunate to have incredible chemistry teachers. Being honored as an ACS Scholar opened doors for me to attend ACS meetings and motivated me to work toward paying forward the support that was given to me. I'm happy to have the opportunity in my current position to help undergraduates see the amazing chemistry all around us!
