What do you love about your job?
I get to work with nonprofit and commercial institutions to support the development and execution of vibrant, educational, hands-on and minds-on experiences. Pairing emotional storytelling seamlessly with rich visuals, textured audio elements and engaging tactile experiences. I get to envision new exhibitions and attractions focused on art, science, culture, and history to embrace new boundaries and shape new paradigms to inspire wonder.
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
Getting to work with Tory Belleci from the Mythbusters show who I grew up watching in my junior high science class and my high school physics classes. We created a dynamic 3 hour immersive mobile presentation on a Princess Cruise Lines ship with Discovery Channel focused on sharks, stars, and survival at sea.
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
Your passion is infectious. Your drive to study both art history and chemistry is going to allow you to work with experts from around the globe and travel for a living.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
I was supported to go to the ACS conference which allowed me to connect with science centers. Thinking about how do I help inspire future scientists and spark innovative thought for all ages. It legitimized my undergrad work and opened additional doors that people recognized that I am a serious and passionate learner.
