What do you love about your job?
The pursuit of science is not only my career, but my hobby, too. I'm the kind of person that reads research articles for leisure in topics from chemistry to evolutionary biology. While I love scientific research, I have decided to expand those skills into a business realm. I really enjoy applying my knowledge of analytical chemistry to new business solutions and advantages.
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
I have loved the international aspect of science. I have always said that, "Chemistry takes you places!" The places I have been able to practice science include China, South Korea, Indonesia, Italy, Canada, Germany, and all over the United States. All of this has been while working in a broad spectrum of research topics, including analytical chemistry, manufacturing, cancer, diabetes, biofuels, environmental chemistry, and instrumentation.
