What do you love about your job?
The most exciting part of my career has been traveling abroad to work on diverse projects. I have a passion for protecting public health and the environment. Being selected to contribute to the State of Arizona as an environmental engineer has been an honor. I am looking forward to making a bigger impact in my field as I move forward in my career.
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
I would tell my 18-year-old self that failure is a stepping stone to success. We are taught to fear failure. Most people do. However, I have learned way more through my failures than through my successes. We should all embrace failure. It has brought us this far as a society. We have to keep going.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
ACS Scholars has impacted my life and career in several ways. I have met other ACS Scholars. I have had the opportunity to travel to several conferences. It has opened the doors for me in ways I would have not imagined as a freshman in college. It provided me with the support I needed to get through my undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering.
