What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my career is its diversity. My career has allowed me to take roles in various fields such as biofuels, hazard analysis, and mining.
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
The most exciting part of my career so far has been have the opportunity to have hands-on experience . I enjoy going into the field and witnessing the lessons I learned in college being carried out in front of me. In my current position, I am an environmental coordinator for a gold mine. Everyday I am amazed at the work done around me. I take pride in ensuring the work being done is with the environment in mind.
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
The most valuable experience is gained when things are challenging.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
Without ACS scholars, I would not have been able to afford my education and in turn, not have the career I enjoy today. Being an ACS scholar has given me the opportunity to live a satisfying life, full of potential and achievement.
