Press registration opens for ACS Fall 2021 meeting

WASHINGTON, July 15, 2021 — Journalists who register for the fall meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) will have access to more than 7,000 presentations on topics including agriculture and food, energy and fuels, health and medicine, space science, sustainability and more. ACS Fall 2021 is a hybrid meeting being held virtually and in-person in Atlanta Aug. 22-26, with on-demand content available Aug. 30-Sept. 30.

Embargoed copies of press releases and a press conference schedule will be available later. Cutting-edge developments on a wide range of scientific topics, including the theme of “Resilience of Chemistry,” will be featured.

ACS considers requests for press credentials and complimentary registration to meetings from reporters (staff and freelance) and public information officers at government, nonprofit and educational institutions. Marketing and public relations professionals, lobbyists and scientists do not qualify as press and must register via the main meeting page. Journal managing editors, book-commissioning editors, acquisitions editors, publishers, and those who do not produce news for a publication or institution also do not qualify. Journalists and public information officers may request credentials by emailing newsroom@acs.org.

Registered journalists can subscribe to the ACS journalist news portal on EurekAlert! to access embargoed and public science press releases. For media inquiries, contact newsroom@acs.org.

Note: ACS does not conduct research but publishes and publicizes peer-reviewed scientific studies.
