Washington-area green and sustainable chemistry conference, June 6-8

WASHINGTON, June 2, 2022 — The American Chemical Society (ACS) would like to announce the upcoming Green Chemistry & Engineering (GC&E) Conference with the theme of “Thinking in Systems: Designing for Sustainable Use.” Hosted by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute (GCI), it will take place on June 6 to 8, 2022. The conference will feature the ceremony and reception for the recipients of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Chemistry Challenge Award.

GC&E will be a hybrid event this year. The in-person event will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia. All in-person attendees, staff and exhibitors are required to be fully vaccinated at the time of the event. Virtual presenters and attendees can participate via a virtual platform during the conference dates.

On the Friday prior to the live event, June 3, the conference will kick off with a virtual keynote session at 9 a.m. ET. Three ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship winners will speak, and all attendees are invited to tune in. During the conference, a different keynote speaker will give an address each day at 8:30 a.m. ET.
