The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down research laboratories and put the career and educational paths of chemists around the world on hold. ACS leadership wants to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected ACS members’ work in order to communicate to policymakers in Washington, DC and elsewhere the kinds of assistance and adjustments that would help get science back on track.
Join ACS President Luis Echegoyen, Past ACS President Peter Dorhout of Kansas State University, and Assistant Professor Davita Camp of Spelman College as they share how ACS is advocating for chemists. Be prepared to share your challenges during the COVID shutdowns, and thoughts on how federal research agencies like NSF, NIH, and DOE could assist scientists in meeting those challenges.
