Local Section Awards

Local Section Programming Grants are available to local sections to enable sustainability-related programming on chemistry and its role in sustainability – including (but not limited to) speakers at local section meetings, Science Cafés, workshops, educational programs, community events, or other innovative programming concepts.

The ACS ChemLuminary Award For Outstanding Sustainability Activities recognizes a local section that has introduced a new and outstanding program promoting the essential role of chemistry in sustainability at the local level.

Sustainability in the Curriculum

The ACS-CES Award for Incorporation of Sustainability into Chemical Education recognizes individuals or groups who have made exemplary contributions to the incorporation of sustainability into chemical education.
