About ACS Member Insurance

Since its establishment in 1966, the ACS Member Insurance Program helps members achieve their personal and professional goals. It is overseen by a nine-member Board of Trustees whose mission is: To provide insurance and other kinds of financial security programs for the benefit of the members of the American Chemical Society. The program offers a wide range of quality insurance plans and coverage options that are competitively priced, renewable, and portable. As long as the group policy remains in effect, you pay your premiums when due and maintain your ACS membership.

ACS members serving on the Board of Trustees, Group Insurance Plans for ACS Members are entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the Program and ensuring the financial stability of the Trust. Eight Trustees are appointed by the Chair of the ACS Board of Directors and serve a three-year term. The other Trustee is a representative from the Council Committee on Membership Affairs.
