The 2025 2YC Community of Practice (CoP) is a cohort of faculty members from two year colleges that are interested in developing, improving, and implementing active learning techniques in their courses.
The 3-month program consists of monthly virtual gatherings (60-75 minutes on Friday) from January to March. Participants will learn about and practice active learning techniques and alternative grading methods.
10 faculty member participants will receive a $3,000 stipend for attending all three sessions and producing an active learning module to be shared with the broader two-year college faculty community. Participants may also receive $1,000 for travel to a meeting to present the work they developed in the CoP. Faculty must submit a copy of an accepted abstract to collect travel funding.
