The ACS also creates and curates resources consistent with the ACS Guidelines. These resources provide guidance to programs that are interesting in developing new curricula, programs, or enhancing those that they currently have.
Guidelines
The ACS Committee on Professional Training (CPT) establishes guidelines for the approval of bachelor degree programs in chemistry. The requirements for program approval and student certification are described in the newly approved 2023 ACS Guidelines and Evaluation Procedures for Bachelor’s Degree Programs (PDF). The online version of the guidelines can be accessed through the drop-down menu above.
Note, that the resources below are currently being updated and revised by members of the ACS Committee on Professional Training to be consistent with the 2023 ACS Guidelines.
