What’s the difference between annual subscription and being an AACT member?
Standard subscription will give you access to the upcoming issues starting on your order date. To access the past issues, join AACT (American Association of Chemistry Teachers) and use ChemMatters’ digital archive that has all ChemMatters’ past issues since 1983. AACT members also have complimentary subscription to ChemMatters.

I’ve just subscribed to ChemMatters. How soon will I receive my first issue?
ChemMatters is published four times per year in October, December, February, and April. Once you subscribe, the first issue you receive will be the one published after the date you subscribe. For example, if you subscribe in July, you will receive your first issue in October. If you feel you’re missing an issue, we can help! Please email us at service@acs.org or call 1-800-333-9511.

How can I access past issues of ChemMatters?
If you are an AACT member, you can access the entire archive of the magazine, dating back to 1983. The archive is accessible on the AACT website.
If you are not an AACT member, you can purchase back issues of the magazine at the ACS Store.

I’ve just started my subscription to ChemMatters. Do you have suggestions on how I can use it with my students?
We have resources online that will help you incorporate ChemMatters in your classroom. With every issue, a team of teachers produces a free Teacher’s Guide that offers graphic organizers, reading comprehension questions, and more.
