Graduate School Fair
The Graduate School Fair is a great way to learn more about graduate programs, whether you're applying to grad school or simply considering it for your future. You'll be able to talk to the graduate program representatives (listed below) and participate in a raffle.
This will be a live session taking place on Remo interactive virtual event platform on Tuesday, August 31 at 11:00 am EDT. Each table will feature one graduate school, you'll be able to navigate through the floor and join a table that interests you. At the table, you'll be able to speak with the recruiter through live video or ask your questions through the table chat.
Questions to Ask Recruiters
Not sure where to start? Use these questions to get the conversation started, if you don't know what you are looking for quite yet.
- What types of research are there?
- How large are the research groups?
- How much time do you spend as a teaching assistant vs. research assistant?
- Are there opportunities to collaborate outside of academia?
- What opportunities are available to develop non-technical skills, such as communication or safety?
- How quickly do students typically move through the program?
- What is the completion rate for students?

Navigating the Graduate School Fair
The Graduate School Fair will take place using Remo. Attendees will need to sign up for the event in Remo, in order to have access to the platform. Remo encourages group video chats at tables. Students will be able to navigate the fair by looking at the floor plan and seeing which grad schools you would like to visit. If there are open seats at that table, double click on the seat to join. Once at a table, you can turn on your camera & microphone to ask questions, as if in person, or ask questions through the table chat.
- Have questions about using Remo once you've entered the platform? Open the chat located centrally along the bottom of your screen and search for ACS Staff.
- Use your laptop or computer for the best experience in Remo. Remo is not compatible with tablets and has limited capabilities on phones.
- Check if your device is compatible with Remo.
