ACS offers funding to support the advancement of the chemical sciences through research, education, and community projects.

ACS offers financial support programs for students, research teams, and faculty in pursuit of scientific study and discovery. We award over $20 million annually in research grants, approximately $1.15 million in student scholarships, and more. From travel money to summer internships to fellowship opportunities, we’re here to help in big and little ways.

Awarded to recent graduates and graduate students with limited work experience to obtain a masters degree in education or teacher certification in chemistry.

Financial support for chemistry professionals to obtain a masters degree in education or teacher certification in chemistry.

To assist Local Sections in hosting a Science Café in their community.

To help local sections increase the engagement of senior members.

Members Engaging Through Technology (METT) Grant
To help Local Sections harness technology to engage and recruit members.

For Technical Divisions

ACS encourages participation in Technical Divisions through support for special projects.

Innovative Project Grant
The ACS Divisional Activities Committee (DAC) funds new Division projects through Technical Division Innovative Project Grants (IPGs). This program encourages Technical Divisions to create innovative projects that will serve the Division members.

Policy Fellowships

The ACS Congressional and Science Policy Fellowship Programs provide a unique opportunity for ACS members to gain practical experience and insights into public policy by working on Capitol Hill or at ACS in Washington, DC.
